The Administrative Police outfit, fresh from sealing automatic promotion, has unveiled four high-profile additions in a statement of intent to compete at the highest level.

At the heart of their recruits are the former Kakamega Homeboyz duo of Francis Omondi and Brian Bulleti, both of whom played key roles in guiding the former Mozzart Bet Cup champions to a third-place finish last season.

The two midfield generals have signed two-year deals with the Bomet-based side, bringing invaluable Premier League experience and leadership into the squad. Their arrival is expected to fortify the central areas, offering the stability and creativity crucial for a team adjusting to top-tier football.

Also joining the new project is seasoned right-back Evans Maliachi, a familiar name in Kenyan football circles. Maliachi, who most recently featured for Bidco United, was instrumental in helping them retain their league status on the final day of last season.

With a decorated career that includes stints at Kakamega Homeboyz, Sofapaka, Nairobi United, Bandari, and the now-defunct Ushuru FC, the experienced defender is expected to add both solidity and depth to APS Bomet’s backline.

In attack, the club has snapped up the services of Hansel Ochieng, a versatile and pacey forward who arrives from relegated Nairobi City Stars. Ochieng, who has previously donned the colors of AFC Leopards, Nzoia Sugar, and Sofapaka, will be tasked with providing the cutting edge in front of goal. His top-flight know-how is seen as vital in a season where goals will be at a premium for the newly promoted side.

The signings come at a pivotal moment for APS Bomet, a club that has had to endure three failed attempts before finally clinching promotion last season. They finished second on 68 points, just four behind eventual National Super League winners Nairobi United, underlining the grit and consistency that carried them into the FKF-PL.

Now, as they embark on their historic debut, APS Bomet face the stern test of opening their campaign away at Gusii Stadium against Shabana FC.
