Will we see some more African spice at Emirates Stadium?

Imagine having to battle Bayern Munich in bringing an ambitious player hungry for titles. Now imagine being Arsenal who has few FA Cup titles in the last couple of years and on the other side of the table is the Bavarian giant who have won six trophies in the last season only.

Regardless, it seems Arsenal’s search for Bellerin’s replacement has reached a new target.

Gunners have had Ajax’s Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui on their radar for a while now and he has become available for a very affordable fee.

Moroccan outlet DM Sport initially reported that the north Londoners have entered the race for Mazraoui whose current deal expires at the end of next campaign.

It all goes hand in hand with the ongoing saga regarding the future of Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin as it appears to lie away from Emirates Stadium.

It looks like the upcoming summer window will be the moment Spaniard's time at the club comes to an end as he has been linked with a move to a different club.

Teams such as PSG and Barcelona had been mentioned but all the rumours lead to the conclusion that the demand for Bellerin has dropped over the past campaign.

None other than La Liga side Real Betis are the ones credited with interest but ultimately Bellerin will have the final say on where he will continue his career.

As far as Mazraoui goes, Moroccan media have suggested that a fee to sign him is up to 18 million USD (2 billion KSH).

Gunners are supposedly battling Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the race for Mazraoui, who as far as recent history shows, present as a much clearer option to win trophies, both domestic and continental.

“Mazraoui is on its way to the exit. He has the same agent as Hakim Ziyech, who was one of the big earners in Amsterdam. But the time of mega salaries is over due to corona. Of course Ajax will continue to pay a lot to some players, but in some contract negotiations it is now said: until here and no further. ” Mike Verweij of Dutch outlet De Telegraaf revealed.

“If you can’t figure it out then, selling is the best. I think Ajax would like to come out with Mazraoui, but not for the amounts that are now on the table. ”

It is yet to be confirmed by England media whether Arsenal turn out to be Mazraoui's next destination.
