The mesmerising teenager seals the Blaugrana home win at Camp Nou, as the Catalans clinch another La Liga victory
What day is it? The day Barcelona made a few serious steps to separate themselves from their archrival Real Madrid - first off the pitch, and then on it.
Earlier this Saturday, the Catalan giants announced that they are formally leaving the Super League project, leaving Real Madrid as the last remaining side backing the once-revolutionary idea. The project for a breakaway competition - initially announced in 2021 with 12 teams - has been down to just the El Clasico duo for some time.
Now, Los Blancos are alone, and Barca are also alone - but at the top of La Liga.

Hansi Flick's side defeated Mallorca 3-0 at Camp Nou to go four points clear of Madrid, for at least 24 hours. Interestingly, Barcelona have scored 16 more goals than the runners-up, showing how potent they actually are, especially compared to Madrid's attacking axis of Mbappe, Bellingham, and Vinicius Junior.
Against Mallorca, it didn't look that flawless, though, in the opening half. The visitors failed to capitalise on their first-half excellent performance, and were made to pay by Robert Lewandowski, who broke the deadlock.
Marcus Rashford's powerful shot was blocked, but Lewa reacted promptly to pounce on the loose ball, 1-0.
The hosts doubled the lead through mesmerising Lamine Yamal, whose screamer deserved standing ovations from the Camp Nou crowd, as his missile ended in the back of the net to make it 2-0. Bernal added Barca's third with seven minutes left on the clock to wrap up the tie.
