Came to win trophy in his second season, stayed 39 days

After a bit over a month, Nottingham Forest sacked Ange Postecoglou, who will go down in the club's history books as the first manager without a win in his first eight games
The story about Ange Postecoglou's famous second season (in which he always wins a trophy) became even more legendary during the previous campaign in which the Australian's Tottenham were abysmal, finishing only one spot above the relegation zone in the Premier League, but still won a trophy - and not just any, but the UEFA Europa League.
However, unlike the London side's management, Nottingham Forest's owner Evangelos Marinakis didn't have much patience for the strategist, though the question is whether Ange deserved it in the first place.
Postecoglou joined the Trees 39 days ago, succeeding one of the most successful coaches in the club's recent history, Nuno Espirito Santo, did an awful job and was sacked today. Marinakis' responsibility is the biggest, but that's not the topic at the moment.

Either way, Ange led Nottingham in eight games - six in the EPL and two in the UEL - and failed to record a single win, securing his place in the club's history books, though no one will fondly remember his spell at City Ground. At the same time, his stint with Forest is the shortest permanent managerial reign in EPL history.
Today's tough 3-0 defeat to Chelsea was the last straw, given that the Trees owner left his place in the stands following the Blues second goal. Even if he had won, Ange would have been on the verge of being sacked.
Marinakis will now have to clean up his mess and quickly find a new solution, as the UEL duel against Porto awaits the Trees in only five days. Sean Dyche is rumoured to be the leading candidate to succeed Ange.
But it seems that no one can do the job Espirito Santo did at City Ground, and Marinakis and his club are now being punished for their treatment of the Portuguese.
