By bringing in Khephren Thuram, Juventus completed the trio of "dad's sons" who will try to return the Old Lady to the path of trophies and success
It all started with Federico Chiesa's arrival in 2022. A year later, Timothy Weah joined, and now, in 2024, Khephren Thuram became the last of a trio of players whose fathers had been immensely successful football players. Even though only one of the fathers played for Juventus, all three left an impressive mark in Italian football.
Enrico Chiesa, Federico's dad, was the Azzurri international and played for numerous Italian sides but never Juventus. His son joined from Fiorentina two years ago and, over that period, became one of the best players in the team. However, Federico's future at Allianz Stadium is still uncertain, given that the club doesn't want to fulfil his wish concerning a bigger wage. Hence, the new contract hangs in the balance. Nevertheless, Chiesa Jr. would become a free agent next June, and thus, the interested parties could be patient and get the player for free.

Timothy Weah's situation is much simpler. His contract expires only in 2028 and they expect a lot from him in Turin. His father, George, spent five seasons in Serie A representing AC Milan. During his spell with the Rossonerri, Weah Sr. became the first and so far only African player to win Ballon d'Or in 1995. Finally, genes don't lie and if Timothy was half as good as his father, they would be very satisfied in Turin.

Lilian Thuram is the only of the three fathers who actually played for Juventus. He represented the Old Lady from 2001 to 2006 before joining Barcelona. During his time in Turin, Juve won two Scudettos and was a Champions League finalist. Apart from that, he was both the European and world champion with France and certainly knew how to win trophies. At Juventus, they have high hopes for Khephren Thuram and expect him to continue his father's legacy worthily.

However, there are several other sons of renowned fathers (who also played in Serie A) whose signatures the Old Lady is interested in. Namely, Francisco Conceicao (Sergio's son), Ruben van Bommel (Mark's son), and Daniel Maldini (Paolo's son) have all been connected to Juve at some point over the recent period, but their eventual moves to Turin are still far from realization.
