The 22-year-old has only featured twice for The Addicks, starting once, and coming off the bench in the side's latest 1-1 draw with West Brom
Charlton Athletic head coach Nathan Jones says he has already been impressed by the display of Kenyan centre-back Collins Sichenje, less than a month since his signing on 2 February.

Jones, while previewing his side’s upcoming clash with Wrexham on Saturday, 28 February, said the defender had justified the club’s decision of signing him during the mid-season transfer window, despite Sichenje playing one full match over that period.

Asked whether he was delighted with the move to acquire the 22-year-old from Serbian SuperLiga side FK Vojvodina, Jones said on Thursday: “Yeah absolutely. We did that (signing) because one, we needed cover as we were really depleted in defensive areas, but two, when the opportunity came, it would not have done us any harm having him for an extra six months, so I am really happy.”
Sichenje, who signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Addicks, made his club debut in a 1-1 draw against Southampton on 21 February, having initially spent his first three matches on the bench.
The former AFC Leopards man was then benched again days later against West Brom, only for his services to be required in the 35th minute of that match at The Hawthorns, when he came on to replace the injured Lloyd Jones.
Commenting on Sichenje’s display over the two matches, Jones said: “There is a lot he can learn; he is getting better, but you can see the attributes of why we bought him.”
Diving deeper into what the Harambee Stars could do better, the Welsh manager added: “He will only get better with a little more control; a bit more composure and confidence, and strength and fitness.
“He is effectively in his preseason, so we are looking forward to that.”
Sichenje, who picked a yellow card in the West Brom draw, will hope to get more opportunities to further impress, when Charlton welcome The Red Dragons at The Valley on Saturday from 1800 EAT.
