He has registered four full games in the last six rounds of games
Nairobi City Stars defensive midfielder Brian Mzee Omondi is slowly adapting to the demands of the FKF Premier League, just months after making his big step up from the National Super League.
Mzee joined Simba wa Nairobi in the off-season transfer window from second-tier side Kibera Black Stars, and after making his debut, albeit in a short cameo against Muhoroni Youth on 26 September 2023, has gone ahead to be a key piece for Nicholas Muyoti in the middle of the park.

On his experiences in the Premier League, Mzee was quoted on the club website saying: “I am still adapting to it (the league). But so far so good. The real big difference from the lower leagues I have played in is that there’s an abundance of experience in the premier league.”
Despite being a newcomer, Mzee, after making his full debut in the second game of the season - a 1-1 draw against Bidco United - was named the Most Valuable Player in the match.
His place since then, has not been in doubt in the team; him racking up four full games in the last six rounds of games.
“It’s a league that calls for a different approach,” Mzee added. “It is a very tactical league and I have realized that you get punished for that one mistake that you make in the game. More than often that becomes the difference.”
The former Ruiru Sportiff player will hope to be among the starters for his side as they take on the returning Shabana FC on Sunday 22 October at the Raila Odinga Homabay Stadium.
