Batoto Ba Mungu played tpo a one-all draw with Nairobi City Stars on Friday

Sofapaka FC tactician David Ouma has declared his side ready for the upcoming Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign from what he has seen in recent test matches.

Last month, the former Harambee Starlets coach offered that he was not contented with some areas in his team but vowed that they would be embarking on them, and now the tune seems to have changed.

Speaking after their one-all draw with Nairobi City Stars at Vapor grounds on Friday, Ouma said that having all players ready to fight for the team as early as during the pre-season stage has been a great motivating factor.

"I am generally satisfied with our preparations ahead of the new season. We had all the players we wanted to be part of the team in good time and this has greatly contributed to our preparations because we have had everyone on board. Going by our performances in the numerous build-up matches that we have played, I am satisfied with our preseason training," Ouma said as quoted on the club's website.

Ouma was elated with the return of his Ugandan striker in the match, adding that being a top striker so much is expected of him as he leads the club in the hunt for goals.

"I missed Davis in the last friendly match, but I am glad he was back with the team yesterday. He made an impact in the forty minutes that he played, and I am happy with how he performed. He is a top striker and a lot is expected of him. He started off well, and I hope he will be impactful during the season," he concluded.
