De Jong should sue Barcelona, Manchester legends suggests

TV pundit Gary Neville has been harsh on Barcelona in recent times, and this was another one of his swipes at the Catalonians

One of the biggest critics of everything Barcelona has been doing in recent months under the management of new-old president Joan Laporte has spoken again. It is the former ace of Manchester United, Gary Neville, who used media speculation about Frankie de Jong’s transfer as a reason to come out and talk about the Catalonians (again). Neville thinks that because of the way De Jong is being treated, the player should consider suing…

"De Jong should consider legal action v Barcelona and all players should be behind him! A club spending fortunes on new players whilst not paying the ones they have under contract their full money is immoral and a breach. @FIFPRO should be all over bullying like this and stop it.”".

Last week, Neville also talked about Barca's poaching...

"It's a desperate club with a 1.3 billion euro debt selling future revenue streams to spend on players in the 'hope' that it will pay off. It's like rolling the dice on a giant club. Why does Barcelona keep chasing the Super League? Here's why!" Neville concluded.

On the other hand, the Barca president also commented on Frankie De Jong.

He is our player, we like him a lot. We received some offers for Frenkie, but we don't accept them for the moment, we want to talk to him and find out exactly what he wants. We need to clarify some aspects of his situation" Laporta declared.

As a reminder, the Catalans have so far signed Rapinha from Leeds, Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie. And they are not stopping. The next targets are Jules Counde, Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta...
