Galatasaray accepted all of Napoli's demands for the Nigerian striker
One of the longest-running transfer sagas has finally come to an end in the current window. Victor Osimhen will stay in Istanbul, but not on loan, as had been the case so far. Instead, he will join Galatasaray on a permanent basis after the Turkish club and Napoli reached an agreement on the transfer of the Nigerian striker.
More precisely, the Italians set the terms, and the Turks agreed after weeks of negotiation.

The 26-year-old striker, who has had a significant influence on the team from the Bosphorus, never wanted to return to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, nor was he part of Antonio Conte's plans following last season's departure. Especially not after the team turned its focus to Romelu Lukaku, who played a key role in helping them secure a second Serie A title in as many years.
That left Osimhen with only two realistic options: remain at Galatasaray or accept a lucrative move to the Arab world, with Al Hilal offering a salary of €35 million - but only if they could pay Napoli's €75 million release clause in two installments.
Napoli rejected that proposal, effectively ruling out a move to Saudi Arabia. Left as the sole serious suitor, Galatasaray had no choice but to focus entirely on securing Osimhen and to meet Napoli's demands, given that the Nigerian was under contract with the Serie A champions until June 2026. On Sunday evening, insiders from both Italy and Turkey confirmed that a deal had been finalized.
The terms? Instead of the full €75 million release clause, Galatasaray will pay €5 million more in potential bonuses. In return, Napoli agreed to reduce their sell-on clause from 20% to 10% of any future transfer.
From the agreed amount, Galatasaray will immediately transfer €40 million to the reigning Italian champions, followed by two additional installments of €17.5 million over the next 12 months. Napoli will also receive 10% of any future sale - but only if the deal exceeds €75 million.
A special clause was also inserted into the contract preventing Osimhen from returning to any Italian club within the next two years. Should that somehow occur, Napoli would receive additional compensation in the form of a "penalty fee."
In the end, it's a fantastic outcome for Victor Osimhen as well - his annual guaranteed salary will be €16 million, and that figure could rise to €20 million through sponsorships and performance-related bonuses.
