Gor Mahia's Lwasa pens heartfelt message after ‘challenging season’

Gor Mahia midfielder Peter Lwasa has penned a heartfelt message to recap the season as he went on to thank his fellow teammates, the club and the fans following a challenging season.

Lwasa joined the club from Kariobangi Sharks before the start of the 2021-2022 season when the K'Ogalo had their transfer embargo temporarily lifted by world football governing body FIFA.

The Ugandan import revealed that he has felt at home since joining K’Ogalo but admitted that it has been a challenging season for the club.

“Gor Mahia as a whole, I would like to say thank you for this season. I have felt the love since I joined this great club. I have felt like family and for that I will forever be grateful.

I thank the management for the trust put in me. I thank the staff for helping me through the season and also to the fans, thank you for all the support u showed the team.

Special thanks to my fellow teammates for being with me ever., the sponsors too... It has been a very challenging season but hope is there many things will change in the coming term. K’OGALO, we have a lot to go,” wrote Lwasa.

In his debut season with the club, the midfielder managed to register nine goals and eight assists despite not featuring for a number of games.

Gor Mahia finished the season third, eight points behind champions Tusker FC and will look to reclaim the title from the Brewers next season.
