Jamaican international hints at a communication breakdown between him and Everton's manager

"Everton fans have always been great with me but it is so difficult to play for someone who don't show you respect as a person."

This is what Everton winger Demarai Gray posted on Instagram to indicate his relationship with head coach Sean Dyche has been broken beyond repair.

The comments come less than 24 hours after Dyche said he expected the player to remain with the club after a summer of speculation of a move and pointed to plans to involve him in the Everton first team.

Gray's future at Goodison Park has been uncertain, with speculation about a potential move over the past couple of months. Despite earlier indications that he would stay with the club and be involved in the first team, recent comments from Dyche suggest that Gray may still be on the radar for potential moves away from the club, including interest from Saudi Arabia, where the transfer window remains open.

The Jamaican did not participate in any of Everton's preseason matches and was not included in any of the Premier League matchday squads. There were concerns about his fitness, but he remained with the club after the transfer window closed, potentially increasing his value to the team due to the late departures of other players.

Dyche had earlier mentioned Gray as he listed players set to return over the coming weeks as he sought to make clear he still had a squad to work with despite the departures confirmed on Friday.

However, Gray's future in the blue half of Liverpool is looking unattainable.
