Team movements follows matches contested in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Asian Cup
Kenya men's national team - Harambee Stars - have dropped one place in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday from position 110 to 111 (1181.92 points) in the world.
Kenya's lack of participation in the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations can be viewed as a factor in the drop, as the team movements, as per FIFA, have been occasioned by matches contested in the tournament, and the AFC Asian Cup held in Qatar also this month.
One of the most immediate benefactors around Kenya's place in the rankings is Mozambique, who have moved to occupy position 110 thanks to their exploits at AFCON, where they managed to pull off draws against African powerhouses Egypt and Ghana.
The jaw-dropping mover however, was Angola, who went up a whooping 24 places to 93rd in the world, all drawn from their impressive journey to the quarter finals in Ivory Coast.
The other big mover in the CAF region is Nigeria - beaten finalists in the AFCON final - as they gained 14 placed to position 28, with the eventual winners Ivory Coast breaking into the world's top 40: 39th up 10 places.

Meanwhile, Uganda has remained the top-ranked team in the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) region.
Cranes are ranked 92nd and top in the CECAFA Zone with 1246.88 points.

Kenya, 5-0 victors over Seychelles in their latest match last November, barring any upcoming friendlies, welcome Burundi in their third match of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in June, before facing off the aforementioned Ivory Coast in the same window.
Engin Firat's men are currently third in Group F with three points, three adrift leaders Ivory Coast and Gabon.
