He is not Newton, but Premier League is under his law

Reading Time: 2min | Tue. 31.12.24. | 13:55

Last night against Man United, Alexander Isak, Newcastle's Swede of Eritrean descent, netted in his sixth consecutive game, proving that he is one of the best European forwards at the moment

Ever since he impressed Europe wearing Real Sociedad's jersey, Alexander Isak was meant for great things. After all, 44 goals in 132 appearances for the La Liga side was not bad, but considering his potential, everyone expected the next step. Well, it seems the moment has come.

The Swede of Eritrean descent is currently joint-third Premier League top scorer with 12 goals, but based on his recent form, he could even claim the Premier League Golden Boot. Namely, Newcastle's last night's victory over Man United was the sixth consecutive game in which Isak netted at least once.

In addition, in six December matches in England's top flight, the 25-year-old found the net as many as eight times, noting his first PL hat-trick against Ipswich ten days ago. The Magpies fans already consider him their best forward since the legendary Alan Shearer and the numbers support their thesis.

Namely, Isak has become only the second Newcastle player to score 25+ PL goals in a calendar year alongside the Englishman mentioned above. Hence, it's no wonder numerous clubs have inquired about Isak, of which the most concrete were Arsenal, though the Magpies demand as much as €150 million, which guarantees the exciting transfer windows to come.
