Ochoro was named the tournament's Best Goalkeeper after an impressive cup campaign that saw him finish as the leading goalkeeper with four clean sheets heading into the third-place playoff match.

The former Nairobi City Stars goalkeeper was instrumental in KCB's run to a fourth-place finish, producing crucial saves throughout the competition, including key performances in the knockout stages.

His displays further cemented his reputation as one of the country's top goalkeepers, having previously earned recognition as a provisional Kenya U-20 trialist and was also listed among Kenya's top 50 promising Under-23 players.

Speaking after receiving the Golden Glove award, Ochoro expressed satisfaction with how his season unfolded despite the challenges KCB faced along the way.

"As an individual, I feel very good. The season had ups and downs, but we tried our best. My consistency this season was a result of hard work and patience,” Ochoro told Mozzart Sport.

The shot-stopper then revealed that he dedicated the award to his mother, who has been unwell for some time but is now recovering.

"I am dedicating this award to my mom. She has been sick for a while, but she is now fine. She keeps motivating me, and that is how I got to where I am today," he said.

Ochoro's rise at KCB has been swift since joining the club from Nairobi City Stars at the beginning of the season. He credited the support from senior players and the team's culture for helping him adapt quickly to his new surroundings.

"Settling in at KCB has not been difficult because there are seniors there, and we help each other. It has been easy to settle in," he explained.

The goalkeeper also highlighted the winning mentality instilled by the coaching staff as a key factor behind both his individual growth and the team's performances.

"At KCB, we are fighting for something. There is a certain mentality instilled in us by the coach to win,” he said.

After claiming the Golden Glove and enjoying one of the best seasons of his growing career, Ochoro believes he is only getting started.

"It has been an amazing season, and you can only expect more and more performances like these from me going forward,” he promised.
