The two sides played for a one-all draw last Wednesday at Thika Stadium

Title-chasing KCB will be pursuing to scale to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League's top three bracket when they accost Posta Rangers on Sunday at the Utalii grounds starting 3pm.

KCB have drifted to the fourth place on the log following a three-match winless run which includes a 1-1 draw with Rangers on Wednesday at Thika Stadium and will be eager to arrest the poor run.

The Ruaraka based who have a match in hand have 26 points, six shy of league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz who are set to take on Nairobi City Stars at Ruaraka grounds.

The bankers were shocked 1-0 by Bidco United and went to lose 3-2 to Homeboyz in the past one week, performance that coach Zedekiah Otieno is on record attributing it to the red card dished to his centre back Robinson Kamura while in action against the former.

The former Harambee Stars coach who will be facing his former employer will however be glad to have the defender available for selection against Posta who will also be seeking to get back to winning track after dropping two points in the last round.

While the KCB bench will be looking to end the recent poor run, Rangers head coach Stanley Okumbi says he is equally salivating on the three points that catapult the club two places high.

Rangers have punched above their weight this season as they are currently placed seventh with 23 points and will scale two places up should Bandari and Kariobangi Sharks fall to Wazito and Sofapaka respectively.

Okumbi who revealed plans of bringing in a proven goal scorer to help improve the goal conversion said they laboured for a one-all draw against the bankers in the previous round due to lack of cutting edge in the final third.

"We created scores of clear cut chances but we were not sharp enough to put the ball into the net. This has been our main undoing so far in the season and to address it fully, I will have to beef the striking department," he said.

Statistics from the last seven meetings between the two sides show that KCB have won four, lost once to Rangers with two duels ending evenly.
