Talanta will take on City Stars at the Kasarani Annex on Sunday afternoon.

FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta says his side will be out to beat Nairobi City Stars on Sunday in order to achieve a top ten finish target this campaign.

The troubled FKF Premier League side currently occupy the tenth spot with 43 points after 32 rounds of league matches and a win on Sunday could see them rise up to the seventh position in the log if the other matches go their way.

It has been largely a successful season for the FKF Premier League team as they managed to slay giants in their debut season. What had been largely a drama-less season was tainted last weekend when the Communication Authority-backed team issued a walkover to Kakamega Homeboyz after the players downed tools due to three-month salary arrears. They however showed up on Thursday for the postponed league match against Gor Mahia, losing out 2-0 to the record league champions.

They end the season with a match against Simba wa Nairobi at the Kasarani Annex and Kenyatta, a seasoned tactician wants his team to end the season in style by sealing a top ten finish. He however admitted that the lack of experienced players derailed his team during the season.

“We have a final match against City Stars and I can say a top 10 finish for us shows we were not just participants in this league. The league was very hard considering we also didn't have experienced players like other teams," Kenyatta said after the defeat to Gor Mahia on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the title race will go all the way to the wire. Tusker and Kakamega Homeboyz are tied at 60 points on top of the log, the Brewers however have a superior goal-difference. Tusker will host Posta Rangers on Sunday while Homeboyz will be up against Kariobangi Sharks at Bukhungu.
