Kenyan international and immediate former Sofapaka captain Lawrence Juma has heaped praises on his former employer for what he terms an opportunity to bolster his current move to Rwanda's AS Kigali ahead of the 2022/2021 campaign.
The midfielder made the switch to the Rwandese side alongside his teammate at Batoto Ba Mungu last season Fredrick Odhiambo, with each of them penning a two-year deal.

Following the move, the former Sofapaka captain took to his social media to express his gratitude to the 2009 champions, and the entire fraternity, for playing a huge role in his growth at the club, wishing them good tidings ahead.
"It's truly been an honor to lead such an awesome team. I am glad for the opportunity that has greatly bolstered my new move. Today marks the start of a new chapter and before I begin, I want to express my sincere gratitude to my immediate former employer, Sofapaka Familia, teammates, and everyone who has been instrumental in my growth. I wish you all the very best for the coming season," the 2020/21 midfielder of the year wrote.
The former Nakuru All-Stars, Nzoia Sugar FC and Gor Mahia man had turned down an opportunity to renew his contract with the club after receiving multiple offers both locally and internationally.
The pair will link up with former AFC Leopards and Bandari tactician Andre Casa Mbungo ahead of a grueling season in which the club will aim to retain the Peace Cup, compete for the league and Super Cup titles, and in the CAF Confederation Cup.
