Lopaga scored the only goal of the game against Slavia on Sunday.

Kenyan attacker Josephat Lopaga is over the moon after scoring his first goal for Dinamo Brest on Sunday.

Lopaga scored the only goal of the game as Brest beat Slavia away from home in a Belarusian League match. This was the former AFC Leopards and Posta Rangers man's second appearance for the club, and he repaid his inclusion in the starting XI with a goal.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport after the game, the speedy attacker expressed his delight at winning the game for his side. "It is a good feeling; I am really happy. Making it to the starting XI was good, and scoring the winning goal was even better, and hopefully, I get to score more in the coming games and help the team win games and titles," he stated.

On life in Brest, the player said he is enjoying his stay at the club. "Brest is one of the best cities in the world, and I can’t complain about living here. The league intensity is also a good one; the intensity is good, and I can say so far, so good, I am enjoying it here," he added.

Lopaga adds that he wants to enjoy more minutes and also keep scoring and setting up goals for his teammates.

"My goal as a player is to keep enjoying my football. As a striker, I also want to score goals and record assists. I also want to keep growing and improving; basically, I want to become a better player overall, and I am confident that things can only get better," he added.

The player has operated either wide or through the middle, and he says he does not have a preference on where he wants to play. "I am comfortable in either position and so it is upon the coach to decide where he wants to field me. Whichever position I am assigned, I will always give my best to ensure the team performs well.

Next for Brest is another away game against Smorgon on Saturday, August 26th.
