Former Manchester United and Arsenal forward Robin van Persie has been appointed head coach of the Dutch top-flight team Heerenveen.
The Oranje's record goalscorer has signed a two-year deal and will begin his first managerial stint at the beginning of the next season.
Since retiring as a player in 2019, he has worked as an assistant coach at Feyenoord and been in charge of the club's under-18 and under-19 sides.
