Once he returns, the Ukrainian could join the Blues' affiliate club, Strasbourg, to regain his form

Remember Mykhailo Mudryk? Yes, he is still there, although suspended and without playing time since November 28, 2024, when he made his last appearance and scored his last goal in Chelsea's UEFA Conference League 2-0 win over Heidenheim.

The Ukrainian's case regarding the alleged illegal substance abuse is well-known, though both he and the Blues are convinced he'll eventually prove his innocence, despite facing the potential harsh four-year ban.

Either way, according to the prestigious French newspaper L'Equipe, the London side already has a plan for Mudryk's future once he returns to the pitch. After all, Chelsea paid his move from Shakhtar Donetsk €70 million three years ago, and won't give up easily on the forward, who brought them only 10 goals and 11 assists in 73 games he played.

Therefore, L'Equipe claims the Blues intend to loan the 25-year-old to their affiliate club Strasbourg, where he should regain his form, reintegrate into football, and get his career back on track. At the same time, they expect Mudryk to accept the proposal, aware of his lengthy absence and lack of regular minutes.

Now, the harder part remains: having his suspension lifted and being allowed to play again.
