Saturday's games poised to have an impact on both ends of the table
Saturday 18 November will see four National Super League matches on the cards, with one, that holds the opportunity for the lead at the top, to grow thinner.
Naivas FC vs Kisumu All Stars.
This match, set to be played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, will be the day’s highlight as it will involve two pre-season promotion favorites, and will also have a big say on what to expect from them going forward.
The visitors will be seeking to extend their prolific run of form that has them unbeaten in their last seven fixtures, and just four points behind league leaders Mathare United.
Naivas, on the other hand, registered a 2-0 win over Mombasa Stars to break their two match winless run, and remain just a point behind their opponents.
It is therefore noteworthy that a win for either side will boost their chances for eventual promotion and for the league lead - at least for a moment, given the fact that Mathare United don’t play till Sunday.
Kisumu All Stars went unbeaten to Naivas last season but will look at their 1-0 loss to them in December 2021 as reason to pause.
Game kicks off at 1500 EAT.
Dimba Patriots vs Rainbow FC.
The game at The Wolves Den in Olooloitikosh will see two sides on the complete opposite end of the table fight for points that could end up being valuable enough in regards to avoiding the drop.
Rainbow, after jumping out to a win over Darajani Gogo on the opening weekend, have endured a poor run of form that has seen them register just one win in their last eight matches, five of them being losses.
The 10th round of our NSL campaign pits us against Dimba Patriots FC this Saturday, November 18th, at the Wolves Den. Kickoff is at 3 p.m.

In their last two games, Rainbow have not scored, unlike their opponents who despite scoring in their last four matches, are also on a patchy form: zero wins in their last six.
The fight for ‘gold’ begins at 1500 EAT.
Vihiga Bullets vs Kibera Black Stars.
14th placed Kibera Black Stars will be keen to build on last weekend’s 2-0 win over Gusii FC when they take on an out-of-form Bullets side that is on a three match winless run.
Black Stars, who erased their poor form of six matches without a win last weekend, could jump to the top half of the table.
A win for Bullets, who are just a point below their opponents, will see them move out of the relegation zone and into 11th place.
The match to be played at Vapor Grounds in Ngong kicks off at 1500 EAT.
Gusii FC vs Silibwet.
Gusii could move from the bottom of the log and completely out of the relegation zone with a win over Silibwet FC at the Cardinal Otunga High School Grounds on Saturday.
On the back of three consecutive losses, the hosts will believe that their unbeaten status in last season’s head to head matchup against Silibwet will come in handy, with the latter coming off a loss to Luanda Villa and a win short.
Match kicks off at 1500 EAT.
