Onana breaks a Premier League record

Reading Time: 2min | Sat. 14.12.24. | 00:36

The Cameroonian won his record third "Save of the Month" award

Despite a rather rough initial period with Man United, Andre Onana seems to have found his form at Old Trafford since the beginning of the current season. He's been arguably the best Red Devils' player, saving United on numerous occasions. As a reward, he's allegedly been included in a group of six players who will certainly stay at the club.

However, the Cameroonian got another confirmation of his excellent form earlier today, as his stop of Liam Delap's effort in United's 1-1 draw against Ipswich has been voted November's "Save of the Month" in the Premier League, which is Onana's record third award.

This way, the 28-year-old custodian left behind Nick Pope, Aaron Ramsdale, Robert Sanchez, and Jordan Pickford, who won two awards apiece. Onana's November accolade is his second this season, as he also grabbed it two months ago, while the August and October laureates were Arsenal's David Raya and Chelsea's Sanchez, respectively.
