The Cameroonian reportedly has no intention of moving back to Manchester United
Following a rather turbulent period for both Andre Onana and Manchester United, the custodian left the Red Devils' ranks last June, joining the Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan. From this perspective, it seems like a win-win move for both the player and the club.
Namely, Onana has been a key figure at the club from Papara Park, leading it to the third place in the Turkish Super Lig, right behind the duo of giants, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. The Cameroonian kept three clean sheets in 15 games, conceding 21 goals and suffering only three defeats.
On the other hand, United signed the 23-year-old Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp and the Belgian impressed this season.
So, given the circumstances, Onana has allegedly expressed interest in permanently leaving Old Trafford next June - to which the Manchester side probably won't have any objections - and one of his possible destinations could be his former place of success.
Namely, according to Daily Mail, the 29-year-old could return to Inter Milan, which are actively looking for a replacement for the 37-year-old Yann Sommer.

Onana and the Nerazzurri share fond memories. Although the keeper spent only a year at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, he won the hearts of everyone around the club.
He arrived in July 2022 from Ajax as a free agent, made 41 appearances, kept as many as 19 clean sheets, and conceded only 36 goals, winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, and playing in the Champions League final with Inter before moving to Man United for €50.2 million.
Hence, the eventual return wouldn't be illogical at all, but for now, that's just an idea in its early stages, although Onana and Inter's representatives have allegedly established contact.
