Osano, who was among the more than ten players who arrived at the club before the start of the season, said the FIFA international break was a welcome distraction to the outfit, as they will be bidding to use it and improve on weak areas.
Experienced Sofapaka goalkeeper Jacob Osano has admitted that the players are under pressure to arrest their poor run and scale to the top half of the table.
Sofapaka were expected to cruise this season after bringing in good players in the transfer window, but the former champions have been struggling to get their name off the red zone.
Batoto Ba Mungu, who suffered a 5-0 rubbing in the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz in their last game, are placed at the bottom of the log with seven points from eleven matches.
The Ezekiel Akwana-coached side needs at least three points to pull them from the bottom of the standings, with back-to-back wins saving their faces.

Osano conceded that the results the club had managed in the past rounds were a source of worry and concern for an outfit of Sofapaka caliber.
"There is no way your team will be at the bottom, and you fail to be under the pressure of changing things. This is a big club, which is not supposed to be where it is at the moment. We are doing our best to redeem ourselves," said Osano.

The league takes a break this weekend to pave the way for the Harambee Stars, who are scheduled to play Gabon on Thursday before taking on the Seychelles on Monday in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
"We have time to polish the areas and departments that have been slowing us," said the former Nairobi City Stars custodian.
Osano kept 13 clean sheets in 26 matches in the annulled 2021-2022 season, attracting the attention of several clubs, including Ethiopian Coffee SC.
The former KCB shot-stopper believes that he will recover from the slow start at Sofapaka and keep as many as possible.
