Brescia lose in a playoff to Cozenca after conceding a shocking goal in the ultimate seconds of the stoppage time

Brescia, once a prominent Serie A side that used to bring football magicians like Roberto Baggio, Andrea Pirlo, Georgie Haggi, Pep Guardiola and Stephen Appiah, descended to Serie C for the first time in 38 years.

On Thursday night, they said a shocking farewell to the Italian second-tier thanks to a 2-1 loss on aggregate to Cosenza.

After losing the first leg 1-0, they were one up in the return leg before conceding in the fifth minute of the stoppage time.

After those climatic events, the fans invaded the pitch, and the match could not be completed due to various incidents.

It will be Brescia's first Serie C appearance since 1985.
