Luke Shaw's outstanding season has been recognised by his fellow players, but it's one of his tweets that delighted the Manchester United faithful
Manchester United supporters are angry and hurt by the very club they love. Owned by American billionaire family Glazer, the club has been making terrible decisions that have alienated a significant portion of the team's supporters. For years there were green-and-yellow flags and banners around Old Trafford proclaiming Love for United and hatred for the Glazers.
It's one of those disgruntled fans who got in a bit of trouble when he threw a symbol of the fans' discontent at United's newly-honoured Players' Player of the Year. Luke Shaw, who was just preparing to take a corner, was given a green-and-yellow scarf by one of the fans, Shaun Logan. The stewards hauled him off because it's not allowed to throw any object onto the pitch.
I understand completely, first match back at old Trafford , emotions are high. I know there was nothing aggressive towards what you did. I will try my best to speak with someone and sort it out ????????

Logan complained on Twitter that his action was in no way threatening and that a potential ban would see him miss out on United's Europa League final trip to Poland. He probably didn't expect the England international Shaw to reply and offer to try and iron the incident out – but precisely what happened.

The fans were delighted by Luke's action and praised him for the way he's gotten in touch with the troubled fan. It was an excellent way for the player to get in touch after a great season he's been having.
Excellent season for Luke Shaw (©AFP)The left-back has enjoyed some outstanding form over the 2020/21 season and has won the admiration of his fellow United peers to receive the Player's Player of the Year prize. Shaw was a close second to Bruno Fernandes in the Sir Matt Busby player of the season award — as voted for by the fans. But the former Southampton man was recognised by his fellow players.
