Poker of goals help Bayern overcome the crisis

After two quite uninspiring displays, the Bavarians finally reminded of their glorious days, smashing Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0

Every crisis has an end. And when you are Bayern Munich, crises do not usually last long. Following the two underperforming displays against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and Celtic in the Champions League, the Bavarians at last woke up and demolished Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0.

Even though Vincent Kompany benched Harry Kane - instead of whom Thomas Muller got a chance in the XI - little did it affect Bayern's efficiency. The home team was dictating the pace, and it was only a matter of time before that dominance resulted in an opener.

It happened in the first-half added time when Michael Olise broke the deadlock. As if that goal conceded late in the first half disheartened the visitors, sixteen minutes into the second half, Hiroki Ito doubled the Bavarians' lead with his debut goal. In the end, Eintracht suffered a crushing defeat, given that the Frankfurt crew conceded two more goals in the ultimate ten minutes, as Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry made it 4-0 in the 83rd and second minute of stoppage time.

The convincing victory and the distance of eight points ahead of Lever are positives for Kompany from this clash, though the Belgian will face headaches in the upcoming days since Joshua Kimmich was forced to leave the pitch due to an injury in the 43rd minute after 54 consecutive 90-minute performances?!
