Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 in La Liga derby on Sunday night thanks to the Los Colchoneros flop

What a vengeance, what a chip, what a win! Joao Felix, who never made it at Atletico Madrid, rose to become a hero in La Liga derby between his current team, Barcelona, and the aforementioned Atleti on Sunday night.

On a night of very few clear-cut chances at either end, Atletico loanee Felix made all the difference for the Blaugrana with a lovely chip over Jan Oblak.

The Portugal international has been at the centre of a storm ahead of this clash, with a war of words ongoing following his decision to leave Atletico in September.

Felix won a duel with Nahuel Molina on the edge of the Atletico's box to chip home a clever opener.

Diego Simeone's warriors looked to rally after the restart, with substitute Memphis Depay (former Barca's forward) superbly denied from a free-kick late on thanks to keeper Inaki Pena.

Victory for Xavi's side moves them to within four points of league leaders Real Madrid, in third place, as Cholo's team remain in fourth spot.
