Milan and Juventus face off on Sunday night (10.45 pm) in a decisive clash for a place in Europe's elite competition

As the Serie A season edges toward its conclusion, the stakes couldn't be higher at San Siro.

AC Milan may be wobbling at the worst possible moment, while Juventus arrive in top form, and with just three points separating them, tonight's showdown could prove decisive in the race for a Champions League spot.

The pressure has only intensified after Roma's 2-0 win over Bologna, tightening the race. Milan, currently on 66 points, have lost three of their last five matches, slipping from a title push into a tense fight to secure a top-three finish under Massimiliano Allegri.

Juventus, on 63 points, have found rhythm at just the right time. Stabilised by Luciano Spalletti after a turbulent spell under Igor Tudor, the Bianconeri come into this clash on the back of three consecutive victories, including composed wins over Atalanta and Bologna without conceding a goal.

Team news adds another layer of intrigue. Milan will once again lean on Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao in attack, with Pervis Estupinan expected to start on the left ahead of Davide Bartesaghi, the only tweak to Allegri's preferred XI.

Juventus, meanwhile, remain without Juan Cabal and Arkadiusz Milik, but Dusan Vlahovic is expected to return to the squad, likely starting from the bench. Kenan Yildiz has shaken off a minor fitness issue and is set to start, supporting Jonathan David, who should once again lead the line as a lone striker.

Despite frequent praise from the coaching staff, Juventus' attacking setup continues to evolve, with versatility now preferred over a fixed system, a shift that has helped spark their recent resurgence.

The first meeting between these sides this season, in Turin, ended in a goalless draw and notably, three of their last five encounters have also finished 0-0. But with so much riding on this one, a repeat of that stalemate feels unlikely. For both Milan and Juventus, this is more than just another big game - it's a defining moment in their season.
