The former Mathare United head coach will be aiming for his second successive win at Posta.

After securing his maiden win at the helm of Posta Rangers last time out, Salim Ali has set his sights on extending his winning run against log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz on Friday.

The Mailmen returned back to winning ways following their 1-0 win over FC Talanta on Sunday which marked their first win in post-Stanley Okumbi era.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Ali admitted that Homeboyz will pose tough opposition but will be meticulous in their preparation for the clash against the Kakamega-based side.

“This is another tough game, they are not there (top) just because of luck but the good performances they have been putting, we will prepare well especially in the game against FC Talanta. Homeboyz however is a different team and we will try approach them from a different angle then see what we can get from that game,” said Ali.

Posta and Homeboyz have an identical head to head record with both sides winning three games a piece and settling for a draw on six occasions in their last 12 meetings.

The former Mathare United head coach revealed that his side has been working on shutting their rear guard to secure more clean sheets.

“We have been working on clean sheets because in the last five games the team has conceded 10 to 12 goals and we will continue working on that as we move forward,” added Salim.
