The Mailmen beat Mathare United 3-2almost two weeks ago but Ali says the return leg will not be an easy match

Posta Rangers tactician Salim Ali has warned his charges not to underrate Mathare United when the two teams meet this weekend as the Football Kenya Federation Premier League returns after a two-week break.

The former Mathare United tactician will be up against his former side, a team that he coached last season while they were still in the relegation mix and he knows exactly the approach such a team employs in matches, with nothing more to lose.

Ali expects a very tough match against the relegation-battling side, calling upon his players to be at their best to ensure they manage maximum points in the match.

“It is always dangerous facing teams that are fighting for survival because they throw everything at you with the aim of getting the required points to avoid relegation. They will be every tough opponent to face and we must be at our best in every aspect of the game,” the tactician told Citizen Digital.

The Mailmen saw off the Slum Boys by a narrow 3-2 scoreline in their last match before the break and will be out to complete the double over John kamau's side.

Ali further revealed that the break has been beneficial to his side as it has given them enough rest, adding that he is adamant they will resume league action strongly.

“We have resumed training and they (players) are looking fresh after the one week rest, it was important because the fit players looked tired and the injured ones required that break to rest and so far I like what I have seen, and I believe we will resume the league with more good performances,” he added.

While Mathare languish in the drop zone, Posta Rangers are firmly in the middle of the league standings and another win against Mathare would propel them to dream of a top five finish at the end of the campaign, perhaps even a top three.
