The English-born centre-back was handed yet another starting role, marking his ninth appearance in all competitions for the North Wales outfit since his arrival in February.

Vyner featured for 69 minutes, before being substituted for Nathan Broadhead in the pulsating clash staged at The Hawthorns.

Wrexham endured a difficult start to the contest, falling behind in the 26th minute under unfortunate circumstances.

Defender George Dobson inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while attempting to deal with a threatening effort from Isaac Price.

The hosts capitalized on their early advantage and doubled their lead seven minutes before the break, with Josh Maja calmly converting from the penalty spot to give West Brom firm control heading into halftime.

However, the second half told a completely different story.

Wrexham emerged from the interval with renewed intent, and their persistence paid off almost immediately.

Just two minutes after the restart, Josh Windass reduced the deficit following a well-worked move involving George Thomas and Lewis O'Brien, sparking belief in a potential comeback.

The visitors continued to press forward, and were rewarded shortly after the hour mark when Dobson restored parity, finishing off a brilliant assist from O’Brien to complete a remarkable turnaround.

The result sees Wrexham, fondly known as the Red Dragons, climb to sixth place in the 24-team English Championship standings on 64 points, strengthening their grip on a coveted playoff position as the race for promotion intensifies.

With just six matches remaining, the battle is far from over.

Wrexham now turn their attention to a crucial upcoming fixture against Southampton FC, who sit just one point behind in seventh.

The encounter is poised to be a decisive clash in shaping the playoff picture, and Wrexham’s ambitions of securing promotion to the Premier League.
