In the German Bundesliga, Harambee Stars prospect Linton Maina continued his reintegration into FC Köln after months on the sidelines, featuring for 77 minutes in their 3-3 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Maina started on the right wing before being withdrawn with his side trailing 3-2.
Eric Martel struck in the 84th minute to rescue a point for Köln, who finished the match with 10 men.
The result left Köln 15th on the table with 26 points, just two points above the relegation zone as they continue their survival fight.
In England, Harambee Stars midfielder Zak Vyner played the full match as Wrexham AFC secured a 2-1 away win over Sheffield in the EFL Championship.
Vyner, who can operate both in midfield and defence, featured as a defensive midfielder, offering Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy added tactical options ahead of the FIFA Series tournament.
The win lifted Wrexham to seventh place on 63 points, level with sixth-placed Southampton FC in the final playoff spot.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Collins Sichenje missed Charlton Athletic’s 1-0 defeat to Norwich as he continues to recover from injury.
In EFL League One, Kenyan prospect Tyler Onyango remained sidelined during Stockport County’s 1-1 draw with Luton Town.
In EFL League Two, Clarke Oduor came on in the 62nd minute as Grimsby Town cruised to a 5-0 win over Barrow AFC, while Zech Obiero was introduced late in Tranmere Rovers’ 1-0 defeat to Swindon Town.
