Statistics are like bikinis, just ask Bale and co.

That was the first thing on our mind when we saw the TOP 5 of the EPL in terms of best minutes per goal ratio
You know that old, witty saying, "Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital."
We couldn't help but think of it once we read the newest stats from the English Premier League, with Tottenham winger Gareth Bale high above everyone else. The Welshman on loan from Real Madrid is the best scorer in terms of minutes spent on the pitch.
According to B/R football, Bale scored 11 goals during only 923 minutes, which means he netted every 83,9 minutes, which makes him the EPL top scorer in that category. In the second place, there is Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho with a ratio of 121,5. Leicester City's maverick scored 12 goals during 1.458 minutes.
The top of the list also includes Joe Willock from Arsenal on loan at Newcastle (122,5), Diogo Jota of Liverpool (123,7), another Tottenham star Harry Kane (134,2) and Manchester United's prolific back-up striker Edinson Cavani (137,2).
As you've probably seen by now, there's not a single Manchester City player among those best-minutes-per-goal-ratio top scorers. The new champions didn't depend on one or two player and their inspiration. Their leading scorer is midfielder Ilkay Gundogan with only 13 goals, showing Pep Guardiola's side philosophy is totally opposed to the other teams.
Total football in a nutshell.
