Azam has signed a sponsorship deal worth 10.48 billion Kenya shillings with Tanzania Football Federation
Azam Media have signed a multi-billion sponsorship deal with Tanzania Football Federation Mainland Tanzania Premier League television rights
The deal is worth 10.48 billion Kenya shillings The sponsorship will run for ten years and is set to kickstart start next season with 67 percent of that amount being seasonal payment to all teams that will be participating in the league.

In the 2021/2021 season, the total sponsorship amount will be 560 Million. Of the 560M, two-thirds of that money will go directly to clubs while the remaining will be pumped to football development. Going by this arrangement, every club is poised to receive approximately 23M Kenya shillings per season.
The 2022/2023 season sponsorship amount will be around 610M Kenya shillings, 50 more than the 2021/2022 season. From this amount, participating teams will receive 410M in total.

The deal also sees the prize money for the winner increase and champions will take home 23M while the second-placed team will pocket half of that with the third and fourth-placed team receiving 10M and 9M respectively for the first three seasons.
As the seasons progress, the amount will increase which will see the league winner pocket 32.5M in the last three seasons of the deal. The second, third and fourt placed teams will receive 15M, 12M, and 11M respectively.

Azam are doing this with the hope of seeing positive development in Tanzanian football in the next ten years.
“We would like to see positive development of football in Tanzania and in the period of 10 years, we would like to see Tanzania competing in the World Cup,” AZAM Media CEO Tido Mhando said during the launch.
