This club is refunding money because of their team play

An interesting and, above all, classy move by the club in the top tier of European competition

PSV has decided to make a great gesture toward its fans after a series of poor results in the past few weeks. What impressed the club's management the most was the fact that none of the fans who bought tickets for the away match against Arsenal canceled their trip to London, despite the debacle the Dutch club suffered on home ground against Mikel Arteta’s team, with a final score of 7-1.

Believing that fans who have shown such loyalty to their club deserve to get their money back, PSV has decided to reimburse them as a way of making amends for what they endured at their own stadium last week.

This gesture will cost PSV over 200 thousand euros, as around 3 thousand fans will be attending the match, each having paid 68 euros for their ticket. The Dutch club wants to compensate for this loss. The only expenses fans will have to cover themselves are travel and accommodation.

PSV has been struggling in the domestic league since the winter break and also failed to reach the cup final. Adding to their troubles, the heavy defeat against the Gunners has triggered changes within the club, and this is one of them. Regardless, tonight, fans will get to watch their team play at an English stadium—isn’t that beautiful in itself?

A good sign of a potential return to form was their recent victory, as Peter Bosz’s team managed to defeat Heerenveen 2-1 at home just three days ago. True, Heerenveen is not on their level, nor on Arsenal’s, but it could still serve as good preparation for a match in which very few give them any real chance of progressing to the next round.
