Time for shameless King to cry, Barca stole the crown

In a match for the ages, Barcelona triumphed to claim the Copa del Rey after extra time and a night full of incredible drama. From stunning goals to red cards and unforgettable moments, this final had it all.

Barcelona showed great resilience and quality, eventually edging past Real Madrid 3–2 in an epic battle. In the end, their determination and bravery were rewarded, as they deservedly lifted the trophy and celebrated a famous victory.

The first half in Sevilla was full of action, with Barcelona showing more precision and edge in crucial moments.

In the 19th minute, young Lamine Yamal created the first real danger of the match, firing a powerful shot from the edge of the box that narrowly missed the left post. Just two minutes later, Barcelona kept the pressure on: Jules Kounde met a well-delivered free kick and aimed a strong header at goal, but Thibaut Courtois was alert and pulled off an important save.

The breakthrough came in the 28th minute. After another dangerous attack, Lamine Yamal set up Pedri on the edge of the box. Pedri unleashed a stunning strike into the top left corner, leaving Courtois no chance and putting Barcelona ahead 1–0. You can see goal HERE!

Just before halftime, Barcelona nearly doubled their lead. From a corner, Ferran Torres rose above the defense and directed a header towards goal, only to see it agonizingly bounce off the right post.

At halftime, Barcelona lead 1–0, with Real Madrid needing a big second-half response to turn things around.

The second half kicked off with Real Madrid showing real intent to get back into the game. In the 50th minute, Vinicius Junior was quickest to react to a rebound inside the box, but his drilled shot towards the bottom right corner was brilliantly stopped by Wojciech Szczesny.

Real Madrid kept pressing, and just four minutes later, Kylian Mbappe dazzled with a mazy run, weaving past two Barcelona defenders before unleashing a shot, but once again Szczesny came up huge with a fine save to deny him.

Barcelona almost punished those missed chances in the 61st minute when Raphinha picked up a clever pass from Dani Olmo, but his shot from inside the area flashed just wide of the right post.

Then came Real Madrid's breakthrough. In the 70th minute, Kylian Mbappe stepped up and delivered a stunning free-kick, curling the ball off the post and into the net to level the match at 1–1. There is the GOAL!

Los Blancos kept the momentum, and just seven minutes later, Arda Guler whipped in a corner that found Aurelien Tchouameni, whose towering header flew into the center of the goal, turning the game on its head and giving Real Madrid a 2–1 LEAD!

Barcelona responded quickly, pushing for an equalizer. Lamine Yamal forced a good save from Thibaut Courtois in the 82nd minute with a fierce shot from the edge of the box.

And the breakthrough finally came in the 84th minute: Lamine Yamal slipped a clever ball to Ferran Torres, who found himself one-on-one with Courtois. Torres coolly faked out the keeper before lifting the ball into the net, making it 2–2. There is the GOAL!

Drama followed deep into stoppage time. In the 96th minute, Barcelona were initially awarded a penalty after Raul Asencio clattered into an opponent. However, after a quick VAR review, referee Ricardo De Burgos overturned the decision, enraging the Barcelona players and leaving the scoreline tied.

After a thrilling second half, the match ended 2–2, sending the Copa del Rey final into extra time.

The first half of extra time offered little in terms of real chances, with both teams clearly feeling the effects of a long, intense match. The second half of extra time continued in much the same way, as both sides struggled to create clear opportunities.

But then, in the 116th minute, the game exploded into life. A major mistake by Luka Modric and Brahim Diaz gifted Barcelona a golden chance.
