
Trailblazing Beldine Odemba named WPL coach of the year

Vihiga Queens forward Tumaini Waliula won the top scorer's award
Kenya Police Bullets head coach Beldine Odemba is the best tactician in the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League season after leading the club to the first league title in their debut season.
Despite juggling between Harambee Starlets job, CAF A coaching classes among other duties, Odemba led Police to win the title unbeaten.
Under Odemba, the sole female coach in the competition, Police won 15 and shared points in four matches.

She piped Vihiga Queens tactician Boniface Nyamunyamu and Kibera Soccer Ladies gaffer David Vijago to the award

GOLDEN GLOVE
Judith Osimbo and Sophy Akinyi were voted as the best goalkeepers in the season following their impressive performances with their respective clubs.
Both kept ten clean sheets
Akinyi played a total of 19 games with Vihiga Queens while Osimbo was deployed in 18 matches at Ulinzi Starlets.
GOLDEN BOOT
Vihiga Queens forward Tumaini Waliaula secured the award following the 16 goals she scored for the former champions in the season.
She finished ahead of the duo of Rebecca Okwaro and Puren Alukwe both of Kenya Police Bullets.
Okwaro finished the season with 15 goals while Alukwe found the back of the net 14 times.
FAIR PLAY AWARD
Vihiga Queens topped this category with six points.
The former champions picked six cautions in the 20 matches they played in the season.
Soccer Assassins came in second with eight points while Nakuru City Queens were third with 16 points. Assassins and Nakuru collected eight and 16 yellow cards in the season.
FKF WPL REFEREE OF THE YEAR
Josephine Wanjiku has been named the best official in the season. Wanjiku has been a FIFA referee since January 2021.
She has been comfortably juggling between the Women’s Premier League and the Men’s Premier League.
Elizabeth Njoroge and Doreen Kendi were voted the second and third best referees of the season.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Vihiga Queens were voted the team with the most vibrant and professionally managed social media pages.
Vihiga is the sole club with a regularly updated website and provides timely updates on their social media handles.
Police Bullets finished second while Kibera Soccer settled for third.
