Two former world champions will chase glory in Qatar
Who would have thought it? Germany, one of the strongest national teams in the world will have a chance to avenge their painful 6-0 defeat against Spain that happened two years ago in the UEFA Nations League. This time, the competition will be much more high-profile – it's in the World Cup!

Although there wasn't an old-school "group of death" this time around, there will be some seriously intriguing matches early in the group stage. England against the United States, France against Denmark, Portugal against Uruguay – and Spain against Germany.
The recent history in great nights between Spaniards and Germans was a happy one for La Furia Roja.
These two teams met in the 2008 European Championship final, where Fernando Torres' strike won the trophy in what's been a terrific tournament for Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, Carles Puyol, Xavi and the other Spanish aces.
Germany coach Hansi Flick said that it won't be easy for his team.
"We're expecting a lot from this tournament. Japan is a team with a lot of players in the Bundesliga so they have a lot of quality. We were intending to play a friendly against them so that will be ditched."
Two years later, in the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup, Puyol's header was enough to send his team into the final and eventually to glory. And the 6-0 thrashing at La Cartuja was the most recent one, although not in such an important tournament. Ferran Torres hit a hat-trick that opened the doors to the Final Four for Luis Enrique and his team.
