The goalkeeper joins from relegated side Vihiga United

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Wazito FC have made their tenth signing of the season after completing the signature of goalkeeper Mustafa Oduor from relegated side Vihiga United.

After the departures of two of their goalkeepers in Levis Opiyo and Fredrick Odhiambo, Oduor becomes the second custodian to join the Francis Kimanzi coached side in the currently open window after the acquisition of Zamu Adisa from Bidco United.

While the length of the contract was not revealed by the club during his unveiling, the former Nzoia Sugar and Bandari man expressed his delight at the chance of working with the moneybags.

“I definitely feel happy to be here. Wazito is a great club with big ambitions and I am proud to be part of this project. I am here to make the team perform well by competing and I will definitely be fighting for the starting berth,” the player is quoted on the club’s website.

Wazito goalkeepeing coach Sam Koko hailed the shot stopper’s arrival as he exuded confidence in the player providing tough competition to Adisa and Bixente Otieno.

“Oduor is a quality keeper who has gathered invaluable experience from the teams he has played for. I believe that he will make the goalkeeping department better by competing with the keepers we already have in the team,” he stated.

In joining the team that managed a ninth-placed finish last season, Oduor became the tenth signing after Cliff Nyakeya, Tyson Otieno, Boniface Owino, Omar Adisa, Erickson Mulu, James Kinyanjui, Swaleh Hamisi, Eric Gichimu and former Finnish-based midfielder Amos Ekhalie all having signed with the club.
