The Copper Bullets' midfielder Wilson Chisala taunted the Atlas Lions before their AFCON clash, but changed his tune shortly after his team's 3-0 loss
"Morocco is an overrated team, but it's a team that can be beaten. The match is difficult but we are ready to play against them. There is nothing to be afraid of," said Zambia midfielder Wilson Chisala ahead of his team's AFCON clash against the Atlas Lions via RMC Sport.
Still, things didn't go as expected for the Copper Bullets, as the hosts thrashed them 3-0 and eliminated them, sending them to the bottom of Group A.
After realizing the Moroccans' true power, the 23-year-old Zambian changed his tune, giving a completely different statement following his team's defeat.

« Le Maroc a très bien joué et c’est l’une des meilleures équipes d’Afrique (…) Parfois, tu ne gagnes pas et tu apprends surtout. » 👏🏽 pic.twitter.com/5aODcIx0lf
"We are disappointed with the result, but we tried our best. Morocco is a better team and they play good football. They are one of the best teams in Africa," Chisala confessed after last night's duel in which he clocked around 15 minutes.
Now, some would say that the midfielder was instantly humbled by the Atlas Lions and that he learned his lesson, but the truth is, it takes some courage to admit you were wrong. Chisala may have been outplayed on the pitch, but he certainly passed the test of humanity and humility.
