Each of the four pools for the men have three teams that will compete in a round robin first. The top two teams move to the quarters with pool A teams meeting pool D sides. The top place team plays the second finisher in the other team.
The quarters matches are set for Saturday afternoon with the winners booking a semis place. Action will move to Kasarani for the semis and finals set for Sunday in both the men and women’s category.
“We are ready for action. All things are in place and we expect a very competitive tournament. These are the top teams in the league and they have everything to fight for. This is a perfect platform for the teams preparing for continental duty to gauge themselves,” Bitok offered after the draws.
