Five matches are on the cards this Saturday for the first time since early 2020 when Covid-19 hit
The Kenya Hockey Union has finally headed to the call by stakeholders to kick-start their stalled activities as the leagues resume this weekend after a two-year long hiatus across different venues.
The Union moved to suspend its activities in early 2020 following the advent of coronavirus in the country and have over the years failed to come up with a plan to revive them much to the disappointment of the stakeholders.

However, the aggrieved players, officials, umpires and the fans have something to smile about albeit belatedly as the all the three top tiers resume this weekend.
The Men's Premier League will be made up of ten teams with the ladies competition being constituted by seven teams. The Men's Super League will have twelve teams, four more than that of the ladies side.
The Eastern Zone of the National League has nine registered teams while the Western Zone has seven teams.
This Saturday, five matches will be on the cards with the clash pitting record women's champion and holders Blazers taking on Sliders at the City Park Stadium.
So good are the Blazers who have proved peerless in the league in the past as they have been exploring the possibility of not only winning the league but claiming it without conceding a goal.
The Jos Openda coached side will hope to kick off the bid to achieve the sky-high objective by taking on Sliders who are made up of experienced players whom majority featured for the national team in their heydays.
