Kosirai joined the Tunisian side last month
Immediate former General Service Unit (GSU) centre player Simon 'Kosirai' Kipkorir is set to make his debut in the Tunisian men's volleyball league on 22 October.
The Kenyan international middle blocker had captained GSU to three titles before landing his first professional stint with Saudi Arabia's Al Ibtisam Volleyball Club in January this year.
After his six-month stint, he returned to the paramilitary side and helped them clinch a fifth-consecutive title in this year's playoffs.
In September, he linked up with his new employer Mouloudia Sportive de Bou Salem volleyball club where he is hoping to help the side win the championship.
"I have settled in well. I had to get used to the hot weather when I got here but that was no problem. I have learned alot from the training which is a bit different from what we are used to back home and more intense.
Strength and conditioning is a big part of the training here. So I spent more time in the gym as we are doing at least three sessions a week.
I feel ready for the league and I am hoping my contribution can help the team claim the title. They finished in fourth place last season," said the soft spoken player.
While his GSU coach Gideon Tarus has used him as a middle blocker, his new coach Hosni Karamosly has switched him to opposite attacker.
"I had no problems switching. I consider myself a utility player and my flexibility helps with that. I played the two positions in Saudi Arabia but in Tunisia I am sticking with opposite. It is a challenge I love and I know it will opener doors for me if well executed," he explained.
The national team player is hoping his giants one-year stay in Tunisia will be a stepping stone to better deals.
