The European giants were trailing by 24 points in the second quarter but managed to clinch a quarter-final victory after the overtime

Serbia surged back from a massive deficit to defeat Australia 95-90 in overtime on Tuesday to reach the Olympic basketball semifinal.

Spectacular Nikola Jokic and his teammates rallied from a -24 in the first half, to set up a meeting with - most likely - USA in the semis.

Jokic had 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Bogdan Bogdanovic added 17 points for Serbia.

"Honestly, we didn't keep cool," Bogdanovic said after the game. "But we knew we were down and we needed to find some momentum and rhythm. ... They had the whole momentum of the game. As I said, this is the biggest pressure of the tournament. Quarterfinals. You know if you lose, you're out."

Thankfully for the Serbs, Jokic took it personally in the end, getting involved in basically every single action in the last two minutes of the extra period.

He put Serbia on top 91-90 with just over a minute left, and then scored his trademark fadeway shot before Serbia stole the ball from Patty Mills to wrap up the super-exciting tie.
