Players to benefit from Ksh 17.3 million performance rewards in new KVF season

Players and members of the technical staff are set to benefit from a Ksh 17.3 million performance reward program during the 2026-2027 Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League season.
The initiative, unveiled during the ongoing league playoffs at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, aims to motivate teams by rewarding victories while supporting the continued growth and professional development of volleyball in the country.

Under the program, all registered players and technical staff from participating teams will be eligible for performance rewards.
A total of 494 individuals across the league will be enrolled, with each winning team’s 16-member match unit -consisting of 14 players and two technical officials- receiving Ksh 4,000 after every league victory.
With 213 matches scheduled for the 2026/27 campaign, the program is expected to provide a total of Ksh 17,358,400 in bonuses throughout the season.

The move highlights the growing emphasis on fairness and equal support for athletes across Kenyan volleyball.
The KVF National League, regarded as the country’s top volleyball competition, features 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams and remains a key platform for identifying and developing talent.
Scores of players who emerge from the league have gone on to represent Kenya at the international level, including members of the national women’s team, the Malkia Strikers.
Speaking during the launch, officials noted that the initiative will help inspire athletes, strengthen competition, and provide additional motivation for players and coaches throughout the season.
The program is expected to bring renewed energy to the 2026-2027 KVF National League as teams battle for supremacy while contributing to the continued rise of volleyball in Kenya.
