Swamibapa take on Kanbis in highlight of NPCA double-header weekend

The second week of the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) will see former T20 champions Swamibapa engaged in two feisty ties in a double-header weekend across various city venues.

Coming off a seven-wicket victory over newly promoted Ngara Sports Club A on the opening day of the 2025 season last Sunday, Swamibapa will first come up against defending 50-overs League champions Kanbis ‘A’ at Jamhuri High on Saturday, before visiting Ruaraka ‘A’ on the following day.

Ruaraka, who will also play Stray Lions A on Saturday, will seek redemption following their six-wicket loss to Kanbis ‘A’ last weekend.

Defending champions Stray Lions A will also look to bounce back from their loss to Sikh Union last week when they first face Sir Ali A in Peponi on Saturday.

Sir Ali got off to a brilliant start last week, buoyed by Simran Mehta’s 104, and will also call on the services of veteran Nehemiah Odhiambo in their contests.

Kenya Kongonis, will on the other hand hope to get off the mark as they host Sikh Union at Nairobi Club.

Sikh Union will face Kanbis on Sunday, setting up another brilliant match-up on the day.

Division Two will see one match played on Saturday pitting Nairobi Jaffery’s against Wolves ‘A’, with nine matches on the cards on Sunday.
