The Bankers are unbeaten this season and will be out to preserve this record against MMUST.
Reigning Kenya Cup champions KCB RFC host Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) as they look to continue scaling up the log.
KCB are unbeaten but have a blemish in their record this season after their fixture against Blak Blad that was initially postponed was settled as a draw.
Since their narrow win over Homeboyz in the opening game of the season, KCB have brushed aside their opponents with their sturdy defence being their hallmark.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, KCB head coach Curtis Olago admitted that MMUST will hand them a stern test but is angling for a victory in the clash.
“They are a hard side, we are facing every game at a time, we want to play the best way possible in this match that is ahead of us. Nobody plans to lose a game we are at 30 or 40% but we will give our all,” said Olago.
MMUST have come so close yet so far in recent matches as they picked up an impressive 36-14 loss to last season’s runner’s up, Kabras and lost by a single point to Kenya Harlequin and Strathmore Leos.
The Varsity side head coach John Ochieng Ahaya noted that he is building a squad that will one day be able to go toe to toe with KCB as they are currently enjoying their second season in the Kenya Cup.

“We last played against Kabras and we were impressed with the result because we are making a lot of headway and before that, we played Homeboyz and Strathmore Leos which ended 25-24 and also lost by a narrow scoreline against Quins.
We respect KCB, we know they are the champions and we will approach them with a lot of caution, we want to move close and build the muscle that will upset them in the future,” said Ahaya.
The clash is slated for a 3 PM kick-off at the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka.
