Nondies, Impala clash in penultimate do or die Kenya Cup fixtures

Relegation dwellers Nondescripts RFC and Resolution Impala Saracens will face off in a do or die fixture at the Ngong Race Course on Saturday as the 2021/2022 Kenya Cup season enters its penultimate round.

Sitting in the two automatic relegation places, the record Kenya Cup champions Nondies, who are last on the log, will host ten time winners Impala in the highlight fixture of the weekend with both sides desperately looking to save their season.

As things stand, both sides are tied on 11 points, one adrift the safety places and the side that will end up on the losing side will most likely be relegated from the top flight league at the end of matchday 10.

In another thrilling encounter, varsity side Strathmore Leos will host reigning champions in Madaraka in a top of table league match.

Back to the fight for top flight safety, Felix Oloo’s Nakuru will be fighting tooth and nail against inconsistent Kenya Harlequin knowing very well they can also plunge into the dreaded drop zone if they get unfavorable results on the day. Currently, they sit third last on the log on 12 points only one above the two teams facing elimination.

Elsewhere, the ASK Grounds in Kakamega will play a double header as Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) will look to maintain their stay in the top flight for a third season running since their promotion when they take on 1983 winners Mwamba who are also not out of the woods yet.

In the late kickoff, Homeboyz will face a herculean task when they take on title hopefuls Kabras Sugar. Third placed Menegai Oilers close off the matchweek business with a clash against perennial survivors Blak Blad at the ASK Grounds in Nakuru.
